Board member call

We are looking for new board members to join our Trixie community!
We want to make a new board in 2024 with 3 external members (5 in total) that would take advisory roles for our organisation. We are looking for people with diverse backgrounds and experiences in arts & culture governance, legal and business. Our board is currently made of Trixie members and we are fully independent in our decision making. We manage the organisation and programme, and are looking to expand our practice, improve our current position and further professionalise by the help of external advisors and new board members.
Een klankbord: The board would effectively not be a working board, as we do most of the work ourselves. You would be there to think with us and help us in some matters that we’ve been struggling with. Board meetings would happen 4 times a year (once per quarter). We would rely on the expertise and advice of our board, so sometimes we might need to contact you apart from these meetings and in relation to a specific question/problem.
If you are interested please send us an email before 20 of January 2024 at trixiethehague@gmail.com
At the end of January, we would like to organise a dinner for our interested board members and provide everyone with the opportunity to meet, greet and get to know each other.

Trixie is an artist-run space located in the Stationsbuurt, neighbouring the red light district of The Hague. Led by a diverse group of young artists, Trixie is an initiative that encourages artistic production through collaboration and exchange. With our diverse backgrounds we run a space which consists of 15 studio spaces – currently hosting 17 artists, a gallery and a workshop. Trixie runs a public programme, inviting diverse groups of artists to experiment with alternative presentation strategies and expand their practice, network and audience with the use of our space and resources. Through Trixie, we aim for a sustainable working structure and public programme, which is a valuable asset for its members, their professional development as well as the cultural landscape of The Hague and beyond.
